The OpenU Offers Certificates in Human Understanding

Understanding others and self is essential to all relationships, disciplines, professions, and organizations. Human understanding is critical to tolerance and compassion for others in our world. Understanding is vital to self, relationships, family, work and the larger society. A body of knowledge is foundational to understanding the dynamics of others. The Open U, through its broad-based curriculum, provides this indispensable knowledge through transformational dialogues about the theory and practice of understanding.

To obtain a Certificate in Human Understanding (First Level) an individual needs to complete 4 courses including a project in human understanding.

To obtain a Certificate in Advanced Human Understanding an individual needs to complete 8 courses including a project in human understanding.

Critical content and practice in human understanding is provided by the OpenU for health care, educational, business, human resource professionals, writers, students, journalists, clergy and anyone who is in interaction with others to enhance communication, effectiveness, cooperation, appreciation and overall peace.

While enhancing your professional skills and knowledge base, our courses in human understanding are also rich in potential for your own relationships whether with a partner, family, friends and/or colleagues.
